and 14’s (Born in 1996)

The 2010 Yankee Conference Festival will be held in MANCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE  on Friday, March 26, 2010 – Sunday, March 28, 2010.    This weekend is a chance for players to meet some new friends, have some fun and be seen by numerous scouts from prep schools, colleges, junior teams and other teams.  Seventeen players will be chosen as each age level (nine forwards, six defensemen and two goalies) to represent Rhode Island.   Each age level will have it’s own team and play against other teams of that same age.   Each team will play four games on this weekend and players must attend all four games.  Tryout dates will be at the end of January and into February.  The exact times and dates will be posted on the riaha.com website. There will be two tryouts for each age level and players must attend both.  After the first two tryouts, there will be a cut and a third tryout will be held for those invited back.  (if there is a problem with attending both tryouts please contact Sue Lang)

The Yankee Conference Festival Tryouts are open to any player currently playing on a Rhode Island State League Team  or if you live in Rhode Island and are not playing on a Rhode Island State League Team, you are still eligible to try out.  IF YOU ARE A MASSACHUSETTS RESIDENT AND ARE NOT CURRENTLY PLAYING ON A RHODE ISLAND STATE LEAGUE TEAM YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO TRYOUT IN RHODE ISLAND.

When registering for tryouts you must send me a copy of the e-mail you received from USA Hockey when you registered, to show proof of insurance.   If you are not registered with USA Hockey, you can register at  www.usahockey.com and then click on online registration in the top right hand side.  If a duplicate copy of your registration is needed you can also do this on the usahockey.com website. 

The the price is $30.00 for the first two tryouts and another fee will be collected for the third tryout.    NO player will be allowed on the ice without proof of insurance.  If I do not receive the copy of the USA e-mail with your application, I will not be able to register you for the tryouts.

Also, please include an e-mail address where you will receive all information concerning Yankee Conference tryouts and the Yankee Conference Festival. 

A registration form and all details are available on the riaha.com website.  The deadline for applications to arrive is January 15, 2010.    There are no exceptions, we will not register players at the time of tryouts.   All tryout fees for the first two tryouts must be paid along with your application and are non-refundable.
